How Wattura Started its Home Gardening?

We being operating as a Luxury Boutique hotel in Sri Lanka have had the professionalism to start our own home garden.  At first we started to grow our own herbs, and spices.  During the Covid 19 pandemic hotel operation was restricted and our staff started to grow our needs within the premises. 

Therefore as a team we did the soil maneuvering and prepared the soil beds for vegetables, spices, herbs, fruits and some medicinal plants.

We believed in tomorrow. We had difficulties in financially to support our establishment.  Most of the Vegetables, herbs and spices were grown in our home garden.  Today we are benefited.

Gardening is the purest of human pleasure……

 



Where is Wattura Now……

Now we are heading Post Covid Period and opened our Doors to you and for your families.  We care about your safety.  We being safe and secure certified resort, and fully vaccinated team members are willing to give their services to make your dreamed with a perfect experience.

We grow plants for many reasons; to please our soul and to meet the challenges.  Covid 19 pandemic has been a challenge for all of us in financially, physically and mentally.  Growing our own crops would support the sustainability program of our resort. Our food is prepared with the Sri Lankan ingredients, South Indian marination with Arabic Grilling techniques.

It is a pleasure to offer our own home garden ingredients for the mouthwatering dishes prepared at our kitchen. 

Since the travel restrictions are lifted by the Sri Lankan Government, all the travelers who are double dose vaccinated are free to travel to Sri Lanka.
